The Government of Bangladesh has recognized the Hijra community of Bangladesh as a Hijra sex. But sadly, Hijra and transgender people are still victim of various violent attacks. Hijras suffer from unbearable violence, harassment, pain and humiliations while they are alive and even after death in South Asia. They are not treated as human being in family and society.
